White Course Apartments ~ Single Room Apartments

Thanks to a fellow living at White Course Apartments, we have some photos to share of the single room apartments. I am sorry that I do not have a photo of the bedroom area. It is a single size bed that includes a mattress. Bedrooms also include a dresser, closet and desk for your use during the year. The internet access is located in each bedroom for each resident. Each bedroom includes a window so that you can enjoy the lovely view each day.

A Beautiful Spring Day

The trees and grass are very green. The campus is 450 acres from one end to the other. The Humphrey Office is located in Chambers Bldg. which is next to Pattee Library as well as most of the building where your courses will be held. From on-campus housing, you can see the bus stop is no more than 2 bus stops from your office on-campus. I have also included some photos of the downtown ~ State College, PA. The main campus is surrounded by the borough of State College. Please check the link on the left ~ State College.com. If you have any questions, please write to Leila Bradaschia or Jane Reese. We are happy to answer any questions you might have.

Please read your welcome letter, program description, and housing options sent to you by email. After reading the information, refer the links posted on the left for more information about housing. On-campus housing is the best option for you, however you must inform our program before June 1 so that we can reserve your room for you. If you choose to live on-campus, you will be able to move into your room upon your arrival. If you choose to live off-campus, you may not be able to move into your apartment until late August or, in some cases, early September. Please consult program staff before signing any legal documents for off-campus housing. The goal of the program is to move all fellows into their rooms before classes begin to assist you in getting off to a great start. Fellows that choose to live off-campus are pre-occupied with trying to find housing and furnish their apartments while those living on-campus enjoy furnished rooms, internet, laundry facilities in their rooms and, most of all, the company of other fellows living nearby. Most fellows living on-campus choose to live with other fellows so they can share household items and experiences. For fellows planning to bring family, please consider on-campus housing. Although on-campus family housing may not be available until after the Fall semester, your lease would end mid-May and not mid-August. Fellows that choose off-campus housing are faced with additional expenses when leaving Penn State University to begin the required professional affiliation- often in Washington, D.C. or other locations outside State College. Please check the blog for important information regarding dependents. As always, please let us know if you have questions.
